Whilst I may post randomly about Leverage and Leverage-related topics, I also thought I’d look at some of the episodes in detail; to satisfy my own morbid fascination more than anything.
If I like a show then I’ll watch it when it airs. If I really like a show, I’ll watch the re-runs. If I love a show, I’ll buy the DVDs and I’ll watch it over and over. And I usually get to that point because in the re-runs, I see something I missed the first/second time around. And THAT’s what I love. Layers. ‘Peeling the onion…’ (“Friends” reference right there… another show that I happen to love – though for totally different reasons to Leverage!)
So yeah, next post – onion peeling, I think.
Also, it’d be a good time right now to give a shout out to the Leverage creators @electric44 (Dean Devlin) @jonrog1 (Jon Rogers – also has a blog --> http://kfmonkey.blogspot.com/) and Chris Downey – who I don’t think is on Twitter; also @rachelolschan is Co-Producer and partner at Electric Entertainment.
The cast… @timhutton (Nate) @ChristianKane01 (Eliot) @BethJRiesgraf (Parker) and @Aldishodge02 (Hardison). Gina Bellman (Sophie) doesn’t have a Twitter account but I think there a number of people out there trying to persuade her to get one!
Other Leverage related people that I know of who are on Twitter… @nadinehaders (Costume Designer) @Mark_Sheppard (Sterling) @magicbranch (Albert Kim – Writer) @JeriLRyan (Tara) @wilw (Chaos) @peterwinther (Director) and probably a ton more who I haven’t come across!
Leverage websites include…
1. http://www.tnt.tv/series/leverage/
2. http://www.ifmagazine.com/index.asp
3. http://www.goldlabel.com/leverage
There are lots and lots of great websites, Facebook groups and fan-sites out there but I think the above are good places to start.

Grifter, Hitter, Hacker, Thief, Mastermind
I'm a Grifter; and for those who aren't sure what that means... shame on you! Kidding.
Grifter is the term used to describe a fan of the TV show 'Leverage'. And for those who don't know what that is, shame on you! Leave now! Not kidding.
I kind of drifted into becoming a Grifter (no witty rhyming intended here) through a fandom chain. The first ever fandom I followed was Buffy - in a big, fat, one-track way. I think I am one of the few remaining people who still follow the fandom, who watched it from Day 1 ‘Welcome to the Hellmouth’ right until ‘Chosen’. (If there are more of us out there, please say hello… And no… buying the box set after it aired doesn’t count… not technically anyway. Though I shall probably still like you.)
So… being a big fan of Spike who sank with Sunnydale at the end of Season 7, I followed him over to Angel, the BtVS spin off. Now don’t get me wrong, I’d been watching Angel since it premiered with BtVS Season 4 but I was getting bored with the whole ‘Cordelia is a demon/no she’s a higher being’ storyline. Spike in AtS Season 5 was the only reason I tuned in. I mean, hell he was a freakin’ ghost!
But then... Lindsey, evil-lawyer guy reappeared with long hair, some tats and an even hotter Southern drawl than I remembered from AtS Season 2. (You see where I’m going right?)
Yep… as Angel ended, I lamented the end of seeing Christian Kane on my screen weekly and had to settle for DVD re-runs. I lurked a lot in the BtVS/Angel fandom hangouts long after it went off air which is where I heard about Christian Kane’s music/band. I found some diehard CK fans who were very happy to share the CK love and send me his music as well as a lovely PS on the e-mail telling me about his new show ‘Leverage’ which was due to air in the US.
They also provided me with a link where I could view it online … and I haven’t looked back since.
Whilst I am a fully-fledged Kaniac; (c’mon do I really have to explain?) I am also most definitely, a fully-fledged Grifter.
I started this blog to share my thoughts on the show (which may not always be the same as everyone else's but I hope will inspire debate!) and to meet people who love the show as much as I do.
And to think it all started because of a guy. Spike.
